Studio West LLC

I’m a permanent makeup artist that specializes in Microblading & Combo Brows. My goal is to enhance your brows while keeping them as natural looking as possible. PRE CARE: •Absolutely no alcohol or caffeine 24 hours before. •No blood thinners such as Ibuprofen, Aspirin, Aleve, Niacin, Vitamin E, Fish oil, or vitamins unless medically necessary 72 hours before. •No working out the day of your appointment. No exceptions. •No Intentional tanning 2 weeks prior. If you arrive with a sunburn you will be asked to reschedule and charged a cancellation fee. •Botox and fillers must be worn off if possible. Botox will change the lift in your brow. The same applies to fillers as this can change the skin around the brow. •Any facials, chemical peels, or microdermabrasion must be done 4 weeks prior. •No waxing or tinting 2 weeks prior to treatment. •The skin must be free of all irritations including ingrown hairs, blemishes, eczema, and psoriasis. •No Accutane within 1 year of treatment. ON THE DAY OF YOUR APPOINTMENT: •DO NOT show up with a coffee or a soda in your hand. •Please wear your eyebrow makeup as usual (new clients only) so we can get an idea of where your comfort zone is with color and shape. We will then proceed to take you through a series of measurements which will be the guidelines to your template; addressing symmetry and shape. •DO NOT wear makeup if coming in for Lash Line Enhancement. Lashes must not have any makeup on them. •Please be well hydrated and eat a light meal. •You will be charged a cancellation fee and need to reschedule your appointment if you: 1. Have not followed our Pre Care instructions 2. Arrive with a sunburn on your face 3. Arrive to the salon sick with a viral or bacterial infection AfterCare products needed 1. Grapeseed oil http://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D9VTBK2/ref=nosim?tag=studioweststo-20 2. Dial Handsoap http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BKZQLIY/ref=nosim?tag=studioweststo-20 3. Aquaphor http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0107QPFBU/ref=nosim?tag=studioweststo-20 THE DO’S AND DON’TS: Microblading is a manual form of tattooing that uses a sterile, single use hand tool with needles to implant pigment into the brows, replicating the look of hair growth. The result consists of perfect brows that last about one to three years before a touchup is needed. Here are some aftercare tips to keep your microbladed brows in top shape for as long as possible. DO: EXPECT MILD SWELLING After microblading is performed, you may feel and see slight swelling and redness in the area, and your brows may be tender. This typically goes away one or two days after the appointment. If you are having some discomfort, you can take acetaminophen, but avoid blood-thinning pain killers, such as ibuprofen or Aspirin®.   MOISTURIZE Eyebrows require proper moisture to heal well. Technicians may give you a specific healing balm, but if not, choose a healing balm like Aquaphor and use sparingly. Avoid products containing fragrances that can cause further irritation. KEEP THEM CLEAN Cleaning the area is important, but do not douse your brows in water, especially in the first few days as this can affect the pigment. Wash your eyebrows daily after the first 2 days with an antibacterial soap or gentle baby shampoo. Avoid exfoliating for at least a month. DON’T: WEAR MAKEUP As you heal, the only product you should be using is the provided healing balm or a light moisturizer. Do not apply makeup or other lotions and creams for the first 2 weeks as these can lead to an infection or reaction. OVERHEAT OR SWEAT Sun and ultraviolet exposure can change the color of the tattoo, and sweating will fade brow pigment. As you heal, limit your sun exposure, and put your workout plan on hold for the first 14 days. Stay away from the tanning salon for the duration of the aftercare period, as well. SCRATCH Microblading can cause itchiness, but this is a normal sign of healing. Do not scratch or pick at the area, especially if there is flaking. Not only will this affect your color, but it can also cause scarring or an infection.
